Tournament Hosting
Below is a break down of each Level: ALL athletes/sport assistants at any Level MUST be members of USA Boccia to attend these competitions
~For all Levels the list of registrants is to be given to USA Boccia no less than 14 days prior to the tournament.
~All athletes competing MUST be members of USA Boccia to compete, tournament coordinator along with USA Boccia staff will review registrants to ensure all are paid and Regional event will be billed should someone not pay
Level 1:
mentoring and 2 hours during the event of mentor watching and advising- minimum of 2 courts/approximately 10 athletes
Level 2 :
~Regional group will pay $175.00 for sanctioning to USA Boccia, USA Boccia signs will be hung
~1 USA Boccia staff member will attend ( at Regional Hub’s cost) to referee and support the event
~minimum 4 courts with approximately 20 athletes
~local volunteers will be trained a lines people and timers
~ Can charge per athlete up to $75.00, Regional Hub keeps this fee
~ will have support to set up the tournament structure /how to structure based on number of athletes
Level 3:
~athletes that compete and medal will receive points towards National ranking
~Regional group will pay $300 for sanctioning, USA Boccia signs will be hung ( USA Bocia will provide these)
~1 USA Boccia staff member and 2 referee’s will attend ( at Regional Hub’s cost) to referee and support the event
~ Referee will run a training course day prior, to train local referee’s
~local volunteers will be trained a lines people and timers
~ Can charge per athlete up to $75.00, Regional Hub keeps this fee
~ will have the tournament structure /how to structure based on number of athletes completed by Kevin Berry
~ 4 courts minimally ( max of 40-45 athletes fro 6 courts) for a 1.5 day event recommended
